General

The Barrel One is an LED scanner from the Showtec Shark Series: a series made of up of a number of compact-yet-imposing moving heads that come packed to the rafters with features that tailor to professionals and hobbyists alike. First off, you don't need extensive programming skills to create stunning light shows thanks to built-in macros and integrated sound-active programs, but it's also worth mentioning that all Showtec Sharks are equipped with IFS technology to give you full fixture-control via DMX or the on-board display. The powerful 100W white LED light source of this particular unit combines with various functions that turn the Barrel One into a highly adaptable bit of kit, including an 8-colour wheel, a stroboscope, a 3-facet prism, rotating gobos and motorised focus. In short, this scanner is pretty much a must-have for any mobile DJ roaming from club from club.

Showtec has just announced the addition of three remarkable LED spots to their Events line. Their EventLITE series is now a wireless party light effect richer, namely the EventLITE 7/4 , which features 7 4-watt RGBW-LEDs that bathe objects or walls in multi-coloured light via DMX or WiFi. At the same time, they've added two smaller units to their Eventspot series, the Eventspot 60 Q 7 in silver and black. These are battery-powered 7-in-1 LED spots.
