Wrote the following about Korg Electribe Sampler 2 Red Music Production Station

I have had the EMX-1,the ESX-1 and this one the ESX-2.Although the other two are better looking the ESX-2 is more useful and you can play the samples chromatically like a keyboard on all the 16 tracks.You can have voice drop outs(voice stealing)if there is too much going on mostly with long releases or too many fx delays.Get the samples right first in a computer and add the fx there thus taking the burden off the engine.You can still have a problem with the voice stealing though but the fx will be okay.Learn to live with it's imperfections.They make a great sample drum machine as well.If you want to preview a sample just enter trigger mode by pressing trigger and turn the sample dial and you can preview them,if you trigger a sample and it's long and you want to stop it just turn down the decay/release knob then when it's stopped turn it back up again.You can resample it's output, perhaps resample all the rhythm tracks in mono or stereo then you can adjust the decay or sample start to get it in time and use it on just one track if mono or two tracks if stereo then you can fx that track.There is a lot on offer for the price in real terms and Korg have a lot of experience with grooveboxes now,plus it has flashing lights!!!Model Samples is cheaper but is only a sample player,no record or resampling and only 6 tracks and only two effects,that is not to say it is an inferior machine though,just different.The Korg has loads of effects both master and insert.Look on the net for video reviews and download the user manual and the parameter guide from Korg uk so you can see for yourself what it can do.
