The TRBX 174 is an outstanding entry-level bass for beginners and perfect for advanced musicians on a budget. This dark blue electric bass guitar offers you the famous Yamaha sound, playability and quality for an affordable price. Alder was used to fashion the body of the TRBX 174, providing a full sound with sultry basses, rich mids and brilliant trebles. The 24-fret maple neck with rosewood fretboard is easy to play whether your hands are large or small, thanks to the comfortable nut width of 40 mm.
TRBX 174 DBM: versatile electronics
The electronic heart of this blue TRBX174 is in its two single-coil pickups, each with its own volume adjustment so you mix the sound to suit your desires. In the bridge position you'll fin a J-style single-coil that guarantees a crisp, clean, and vivid sound. The P-style pickup in the middle is a split single-coil, meaning that per two strings there is a separate coil that works as a humbucker, resulting in a deep, punchy sound without the irritating 50 Hz hum. Filter the high frequencies to suit your taste with the master tone control.
