General

The BB1025X belongs to a new generation of BB series bass guitars by Yamaha. This 5-string electric bass is made with an enhanced construction method and is equipped with first-class hardware. It has a passive P-bass and J-bass pickup configuration making it well suited for a variety of music styles from sultry jazz to wild rock, and the sound of this bass guitar is full and tight, with outstanding balance on all strings. The bolt-on neck gives the sound that extra punch, while the rounded neck/body overhang gives you unhindered access to the highest frets. Whether you're an enthusiastic beginner or a seasoned pro, with the Yamaha BB1025X your bass lines will be rock solid.

The high-quality construction of the Yamaha BB1025X

One remarkable aspect of the BB1025X is the 5-part maple/nato neck. This laminated construction makes the neck extremely stable and prevents it from warping or curling, in addition to giving the bass more attack, a more direct response and extra sustain. The nut and frets are all made of Nickel Silver which gives open strings the same sound quality as fretted strings. The body of the BB1025X is fashioned from three pieces of alder with a special maple plate--called a spline--inserted into the joint sections, which gives the body the same full, rich sound as that of a more expensive solid body bass guitar.

Specially designed pickups

The pickups of the BB1025X are equipped with special wide poles for optimal balance between strings, even with strong playing attacks. They have a powerful, tight sound with outstanding harmonics that pick up all tones both subtle and strong. The Alnico split-coil pickup delivers a full, warm sound while the ceramic single-coil pickup at the bridge produces a nice bright edge so you can play anything from dark and jazzy to bright and snappy. The BB1025X has a simple yet effective operation system with one volume control, one tone control and a 3-way EQ switch.

Innovative bridge

The bridge of the BB1025X has been improved, and while it still has a trendy, classic appearance, it is equipped with modern brass saddles and a steel plate for a better sound. The strings can be attached either in the traditional manner or via the back of the bridge and through the body at a 45-degree angle. Compared with a 90-degree angle, this construction puts less pressure on the saddles resulting in better sound transfer and less chance of string breakage.

Wrote the following about Yamaha BB1025X 5-string electric bass guitar black
