The Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass offers you the same classic looks and amazing playability of an American Fender bass guitar, at an affordable price. What's more, this 2013 edition is equipped with Fender Designed pickups for that authentic sound.

Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass: sound and feel

This vintage-inspired J Bass has an Olympic White basswood body that is light of weight yet still manages to produce a full tone. The neck has a vintage tint and a comfortable C-profile, as well as a 20-fret laurel fretboard with a modern 9.5-inch radius for optimal playing comfort. The two single coils of this guitar produce those famous clear, sultry Jazz Bass tones and are each equipped with their own volume control so you can blend the sound of both pickups. Use the tone control to filter out the high frequencies.

The Squier brand

The most famous Fender guitars are the Precision and Jazz bass guitars and the Stratocaster and Telecaster electric guitars. Many manufacturers have imitated these in different price ranges. In order to be able to provide a reliable and attractive alternative for beginners, Fender started their subsidiary Squier in 1982. Squier guitars and bass guitars are built according to specifications by, and under supervision of, Fender.

Mijn eerste basgitaar, echt een juweeltje, al helemaal in deze prijsklasse. Hij was nog wel aan de zware kant afgesteld toen ik hem binnenkreeg, maar na een beetje sleutelen is dat ook weer verholpen.

Zeker een aanrader!

Prima bas!! Heb hem vergeleken met een Fender Standard (meer dan dubbel zo duur) en de sound, bespeelbaarheid en electronica van deze Squire was veel beter. Ook erg mooi afgewerkt. De body is wel wat zwaarder dan de fender (zo'n 500 gr) maar dit komt de balans weer ten goede. Al met al een dikke aanrader dus.
