General

Squier worked together with The Cribs bassist Gary Jarman to create an entirely new model bass guitar. It's an amalgamation of parts and traits from his favourite Fender instruments, and the result is a bass that is more than the sum of its parts. For instance, there's the growling P Bass split-coil pickup in the middle, giving the Gary Jarman Signature bass plenty of punch. Furthermore, its hybrid body features a classy Ocean Turquoise finish, making it a real eye-catcher.

Gary Jarman Signature: aesthetic appeal

Squier chose to fit the bass with a HiMass bridge with three vintage-style saddles that, remarkably enough, are made of brass. This gives the Gary Jarman Signature bass extra sustain and attack, making its sound stand out even more. The control knobs come from a Jazz bass, while it has a Precision bass headstock. What's more, the back of the neck has been tinted for a nice vintage look that contributes to this affordable bass guitar's luxurious appeal. In short, this hybrid bass offers both a great look and a phenomenal sound!

The Cribs

The Cribs is an indie rock band that consists of three brothers: Gary, Ryan en Ross Jarman. From 2008 to 2011, Johnny Marr (from The Smiths and Modest Mouse fame) also played guitar with them. In 2012, the band celebrated their 10 year anniversary, and received a wealth of awards. For instance, they won the Spirit of Independence award at the Q Awards, and the Outstanding Contribution to Music award at the NME Awards. It's a band with both a rich history and a very promising future.
