With the vintage-looking and modern-sounding Contemporary Active Jazz Bass HH V, Squier prove that a top-notch 5-string bass can definitely be affordable! It's based on the legendary J-style bass, which gives it a familiar presence, but at the same time, this solid-body offset bass has a modern feel and sound - meaning it features an extra B string and black chrome hardware with a matching headstock and a stylish matte lacquer finish. Grab it by its roasted maple C-profile neck, play a few notes and you'll quickly realise how modernly effortless this bass plays.

Contemporary Active Jazz Bass HH V: Smooth lines and solid sounds

Playing is fast and easy thanks to the narrow tall frets and flat 12-inch fretboard radius. The satin finish on the neck ensures a smooth ride and, in terms of sound, this Contemporary Active Jazz Bass has all you need to make a lasting impression on your fellow band members as well as your audience. The HH configuration of this Squier J bass builds a solid tonal foundation with a bit of bite, while the active preamp sends a balanced signal to your amp.
