For bassists who happen not to have massive hands and lanky limbs, a short scale bass like the Sire Marcus Miller U5 offers way more playing comfort alongside warm and modern passive sound. The U5 Alder: A Multi-Sided Passive, Comfortable and Compact Bass

The foundation of this Sire model is formed by an alder body and bolt-on maple neck finished with a luxuriously rounded ebony fretboard. The thought put into the resonant transfer has resulted in a string-through-body bridge so that the fullness and clarity of the initial sound is registered with balance by the mounted pair of single-coil PJ-configured pickups. Either send that pure unadulterated P-plus-J sound to your amplifier or adjust the mix using the simple blend pot, then tweak the whole using the tone and volume pots.
