General

Bass guitar grandmaster Marcus Miller and Sire have teamed up to create this P7-4 Ash. With just enough punch and all of that well-known versatility, this 2nd Generation bass guitar has kindly received a couple of welcome and instantly noticeable upgrades. The trusted feel of the C-shape neck has been further enhanced with rounded fretboard edges and a 9.5 inch fretboard radius fitted with slightly larger medium frets. This leaves ample grip for your grooves and lets you showcase swift bass riffs.

Marcus Miller P7-4 2nd Generation Ash: From Old School to New School and Everything in Between

This Sire P-style solid-body still comes with the Marcus Heritage-3 preamp to maintain its highly versatile nature. Switch to passive for an old school twang, or throw it in active for some slap work using the remarkably practical mid-boost with sweep function. The foundation sound of the P7-4 Gen 2 is captured by a set of Marcus Standard PJ Revolution pick-ups, giving you access to those legendary P-sounds and the sound of a J-pickup at the bridge. This Sire Marcus Miller has also made strides in terms of tuning stability, intonation and vibration transference, made possible by the interplay between the premium open tuners, bone string nut and, of course, the new Heavy Mass Standard Bridge.
