General

The Sandberg California TT4 electric bass is part of the most deeply loved of all of Sandberg's series. Even knowing that the instrument in your hands is a Sandberg is enough to assure you that you're holding something that's been finished to an awesome standard. The swamp ash used to shape the J-style body is characterised by, among other things, a distinctly visible grain that's been given a sensitive natural finish. This accomplished bass comes complete with a Sandberg gig bag.

The Swamp Ash Body of the California TT4

The high-gloss finished swamp ash body doesn't just ensure that this bass retains a reasonable weight, but provides a truly unique sound. The tone is noticeably more open and light, while special hard Canadian maple has also been used for the neck and secured with six bolts for unrivalled stability and drastically reduced sensitivity to temperature and humidity.

Tonal Range

The two mounted Delano single-coil pickups come supported by active tone controls so that you're provided with plenty of choice when it comes to tone. Transition effortlessly from bright and light, to dark and rumbling, and use the headroom-rich two-band EQ to fatten it up or thin it out. For a more traditional sound simply cut the preamp off by popping out the volume pot. Meanwhile, a set of three-way adjustable string saddles offer the ultimate set up in terms of string distance, as well as intonation and string height.
