General

The Jackson JS Series Spectra Bass JS2 delivers flexible sound and has a classic tobacco burst-coated look. Built for the serious beginner, this electric 4-string bass comes at an affordable price and offers some equally serious features. So you get a comfortable solid poplar body with an offset ergonomic shape and a balanced maple neck and head to counter neck-dive. This is teamed up with 24 jumbo frets and a modern 12" fretboard radius for a snug and smooth playing feel.

The Spectra Bass JS2: Active & Passive

Jackson have even been kind enough to offer fledgling bassists access to both a passive and active circuit controlled by a push/pull volume pot so you never need to fear your battery dying on you halfway through a gig, since you can always just flip your bass into passive mode. This not only raises the reliability of the Spectra Bass JS2 but increases the sonic range of the mounted PJ configured pickups. This adaptable, comfortable learning and performance tool of instrument can handle any playing style and comes backed up by Jackson-grade build quality.
