General

The Jackson Dave Ellefson CBX V is the 5-string budget version of Megadeth's Dave Ellefson's own signature model. It has a basswood body with a satin gloss Quicksilver finish. The maple neck is reinforced with graphite and has a 21-fret rosewood fretboard with sharkfin position marker inlays. Even the hardware is the same as the original, with a Jackson High Mass bridge and two active EMG HZ pickups.

Other nice details featured on the Jackson Dave Ellefson CBX V Signature Quicksilver include the white neck binding and the classic pointed Jackson headstock. This bass is also equipped with a 3-band EQ with cut/boost for bass, mid and treble, along with rotary knobs for volume and balance. Of course, the most important (and biggest) difference between this model and the original is the price tag - it's only a fraction of the price!
