General

If 4 strings of growling lows isn't enough for you, Jackson offers this addition to their X Series: the 5-string CBXNT V Concert Bass in demonic Trans Black. Jackson's motto was simple: the lower, the better. That's no problem with this bass guitar. With two active humbuckers, a rugged body and a smooth neck topped with an authentic Jackson head stock, this bass is excellent value for money and truly unique with its flamed maple top.

CBXNT V Concert Bass Trans Black: dark sound

There are a lot of 5-string basses on the market, but Jackson wanted an instrument that would stand out from the rest, which is definitely the case with the CBXNT V Concert Bass. The active humbuckers and the Hi-Mass bridge were made in-house by Jackson themselves, and the pickups have five knobs - 2 for volume, and a three-band equalizer to adjust the treble, mid and bass. You can either brighten up your sound, or go deep and dark. Thanks to a sturdy bridge and slanted head stock, your strings are sure to stay in tune, making it even easier to switch between alternate tunings.

Powerfully handy

If you're looking for a bass that is robust, that can deliver a powerful, clear sound, and that is also handy to use, then this 5-string model might be just what you need. What makes it handy is the neck with a compound radius, which means the neck is round and narrow at the first frets, and becomes increasingly flatter and wider as you move upwards. This ensures ultimate playing comfort, as you won't have to contort your hand in order to grab certain chords. On top of that, the cutaway shape and basswood body ensure extra playing comfort.
