General

Jackson has expanded on their already impressive X Series, and fortunately, it includes this CBXNT V Concert Bass with a sleek Dark Metallic Grey finish. This is a 5-string bass that can deliver low growls as well as melodious highs, thanks to 24 frets. It's also equipped with two active humbuckers that you can adjust as desired. In other words, it's the kind of bass guitar we've come to expect from Jackson: tough, robust and full of possibilities.

CBXNT V Concert Bass Dark Metallic Grey: in-house production

The first thing you may notice about the CBXNT V Concert Bass is that the bridge and pickups have been produced in-house. That means this is an authentic bass guitar that has been developed according to the high standards of the manufacturer. Using two individual volume knobs and three EQ knobs (bass, mid, treble), you can adjust the active humbuckers with the greatest accuracy to produce exactly the sound you want. Thanks to a Jackson Hi-Mass bridge, your strings will remain in tune, even if you regularly use alternate tunings. The characteristic slanted headstock enhances tuning stability as well.

Sturdy but flexible

Despite its solid appearance, this is a very flexible bass. It all starts at the neck, which has what's known as a compound radius. Essentially, that means the neck is round and narrow at the first frets, and becomes increasingly flatter and wider as you move upwards. This ensures ultimate playing comfort, as you won't have to contort your hand in order to grab certain chords. Its specially-rounded heel makes it easy to slide your hand up and down the neck, and its basswood body is ergonomically designed to sit comfortably next to yours.
