The amber-coloured Ibanez SR700 is a 4-string electric bass guitar that produces a full, dynamic and detailed sound thanks to the combination of a mahogany body and maple top. Due to the elaborate built-in electronics, you can adjust the sound completely to your liking. In order to give you a comfortable, smooth playing experience, the bolt-on neck of the SR700 has been kept as thin as possible.
SR700 CN: The wood types
The mahogany body of the Ibanez SR 700 AM provides the bass with an amazing, full sound with rich mids and a deep bass. The maple top produces a bright, direct and tight edge and together, they give you a balanced sound. The bolt-on SR4 neck is made of 5 parts of jatoba and bubinga wood and this combination makes the relatively thin neck rugged and stable. The rosewood fretboard has 24 frets and is decorated with great-looking oval abalone inlays.
Bartolini hardware
The Ibanez SR700 is equipped with two Bartolini MK1 pickups with a split-coil design which perfectly suppresses humming and noise. The pickups also have a wide frequency range and excellent definition for a perfect reproduction of every subtle detail of your playing style. You can seamlessly adjust the mix between the neck and bridge pickup by means of the balance button. In order to optimise the total sound, the SR700 has been fitted with a Bartolini EQB-IIIS active 3-band equalizer with a switch for an alternative mid-frequency range. With this switch you can boost or filter the low, middle and high frequencies.
