General

The term 'premium' in the name Ibanez SR1205 VNF Premium (Vintage Natural Flat) is definitely not an understatement. Take one look at this 5-string bass guitar and you'll see that this is an exclusive instrument. With the SR1205, advanced players can look forward to an amazing, stylishly designed mahogany body with a finish of ovangkol wood, fitted with gold-coloured hardware. The sturdy 5-piece neck has a rosewood fretboard, fitted with abalone-pearloid inlays.
Surprisingly full pickups
A mahogany body as the basis of a guitar means that you get a powerful, deep yet clear basic sound. Subsequently, these resonances are transported perfectly to your bass amp by means of the Nordstrand Big Single 5 neck and bridge pickup. This pair of single-coil pickups have an expected power as they produce a great, fat sound while maintaining their typical single-coil clarity. You can adjust your sound by means of the active bass, treble and mid tone controls, as well as with the mid-frequency switch (250/600 Hz) and the volume and balance knobs.

Two New Metal Machines from Ibanez

Ibanez has added two guitars to its Iron Label RG series: the RG and the RG-7. These are real metal machines but with a spalted maple top and headstock. Apart from that, they have the standard Iron Label RG features, with two EMG humbuckers, 24 jumbo frets and a neck made of maple and bubinga.
