General

The Ibanez BTB676 NTF (Natural Flat) is a perfectly constructed and beautifully crafted electric bass guitar with six strings. Only first-grade materials and components were used for the BTB676 and it has a very stable neck-thru construction that is rich in sustain. Fortunately, Ibanez managed to combine the quality of BTB bass guitars with a very attractive price. This is a bass for serious musicians who are looking for a wide range.
The body
The ash body forms the basis of the BTB676 and it features an appealing wood grain and strong resonance. The nice-looking top is made of walnut wood. The guitar also has a Mono-Rail bridge that's responsible of the sublime isolation of the strings, so that each string can vibrate optimally without being disturbed by the other strings. The extra long 35-inch neck makes sure that even the lowest strings carry the right amount of tension.
The Bartolini pickups
A couple of modern Bartolini pickups, including active 3-band tone control, generate a warm, clear, articulated sound. The bass tones sound tight and the mids are full. The vibrations of the two extra strings on this model are also accurately registered. The signal leaves the bass guitar via a highly reliable Neutrik output that perfectly keeps the plug in place, thanks to the locking mechanism.

Wrote the following about Ibanez BTB676 NTF Natural Flat 6-string electric bass guitar

Vooropgesteld: als je tegen de duizend euro hebt uitgegeven aan een produkt, sta je jezelf natuurlijk niet toe het slecht te vinden. Afgezien daarvan dus: een voortreffelijk instrument, waar ik het afgelopen anderhalf jaar eigenlijk nog geen gebrek aan heb kunnen ontdekken. Het enige punt: toen ik de fabriekssnaren, Elixirs (dus ook geen kattenpis) na een jaar verving door D'addario's vond ik de bas ineens stukken beter klinken. Meer definitie, strakker, van die dingen. Ik neem thuis muziekjes op en daar doet de bas wat ik wil, maar in de repetitieruimte komt hij een stuk beter tot zijn recht. Daar is ook goed te merken dat de brug uit zes onafhankelijke onderdelen bestaat, wat met name in het zeer laag van de B-snaar goed werkt.
Je vraagt je af hoe ze het kunnen maken, maar dat heeft natuurlijk met de goedkope Indonesiërs te maken. Zoek je een zessnarige bas voor onder de duizend euro met boetiekuitstraling en -kwaliteit, dan kan ik deze aanraden. Eerst proberen, natuurlijk want ieder heeft andere idealen.
