General

Every inch of the Höfner Cavern 500/1 Special Edition takes its cues from the popular violin bass that first saw light of day in the early seventies. This semi-acoustic classic is part of Höfner's entry-level Ignition range, so bassists are offered timeless sound and design at an affordable price, while the lightweight hollow body and shorter 30 inch scale length provide the same level of comfort and playability as its more expensive cousins.

The Höfner Cavern Ignition SE 500/1 Violin Bass: Timeless Character

The vintage character and charm of the SE 500/1 Cavern Edition is voiced by two Ignition Staple pickups mounted at the neck and mid positions and a set of standard-issue violin bass switches and controls. Isolate or combine the pickups before blending and balancing the output using the dedicated volume pots and darkening or lightening the result by boosting or cutting the bass and treble. A devoted emulation of an icon, the Höfner Ignition SE 500/1 Violin Bass ticks all the boxes.

Hofner Ignition Cavern SE 500/1 Violin Bass Sunburst Semi-Acoustic Bass Guitar
Wrote the following about Hofner Ignition Cavern SE 500/1 Violin Bass Sunburst Semi-Acoustic Bass Guitar
