General
The G&L Tribute L-2000 has the same high quality as the American G&L bass guitars, at a much lower price. Its hardware and pickups are top-notch and its Swamp Ash body makes for an excellent bass. This 4-string bass guitar brandishes a Tobacco Sunburst finish that leaves a starring role for the beautiful wood grain. Additionally, it is equipped with two Magnetic Field Design humbuckers that are skimpy in noise but fat in sound. What's more, the Tri-tone circuit allows you to freely adjust the sound of this bass guitar to your liking.
G&L Tribute L-2000 Tobacco Sunburst: construction
Swamp Ash, harvested from the mud in the south of the United States, is used to make the body of this L-2000. This type of wood has less open pores and ensures deep bass tones and fresh trebles with a slightly less explicit mid range. The bolt-on maple neck supports a comfortable maple fretboard with 21 frets. This guitar's headstock has the same beautiful Sunburst-style finish as its body. The bridge is a Saddle Lock type that optimally transfers the vibration of the strings to the body thanks to a small screw on its side that presses the saddles together, creating better sustain and resonance.
The versatility of the G&L Tribute L-2000
The Tribute L-2000 offers you numerous possibilities to create your own sound. Its Tri-tone circuit consists of three potentiometers and three mini-switches. There's a volume control and two knobs to filter or boost bass and treble. The switches of this guitar are a three-position pickup switch, a two-way switch for series or parallel switching and a three-way switch that allows you to choose between a passive, active and active with treble boost modes. As you can tell, this bass guitar offers numerous great functions for versatile bass players.
