General

Fender's Standard Precision Bass offers everything advanced bassists need at a price that's more affordable than the American series models. The pau ferro fretboard has a darker look and adds a sound that lies somewhere between ebony and rosewood. That's on top of solid, airy mids and prominent low tones. There's just a hint of definition and brightness too that you normally only get from Fender electric bass guitars with fretboards made of lighter-coloured wood types.

Standard Precision Bass PF: legendary sounds

This bass has a solid body made of alder with a bolt-on maple neck that combine to give this 4-string instrument its fundamental robust and warm sound. It doesn't matter whether you play with a plectrum, two fingers or your thumb. The Standard Split Single-Coil mid-position pickup is responsible for delivering the legendary sound to your amplifier. Using the potentiometers for the master volume and tone, you'll be able to customise the sound to perfection.

Finish, playing comfort and hardware

The high-gloss lacquer on the body gives this P bass a fresh look while the neck's satin-gloss finish offers a great feel. Also adding to the playing comfort are the neck's C profile and the fretboard's modern 9.5-inch radius. You'll quickly discover that this also feels faster and smoother than a bass with vintage-style neck. Lastly, to ensure excellent tuning stability, this Fender Standard Precision bass is equipped with Open-Gear machine heads and a fixed bridge.
