General

Fender's Player Precision Bass combines traditional design with a modern sound and a high-level of playing comfort. It's the perfect choice for bassists who want an attractively-priced, great-looking instrument with a powerful sound. The Player series offers the same great quality as the Standard series it follows on from and just like its predecessor is also made in Mexico.

Playing comfort

This P bass has a maple neck with a smooth satin-gloss finish and a modern C profile. The string nut has a relatively narrow width of 1.625 inches which adds to its comfortable feel, as does the 9.5-inch fretboard radius and 20 medium jumbo frets.

Punchy sound

The Player Precision bass has a body made of alder and Fender has been using this type of wood for many of its instruments since 1956 because of its bright, well-balanced sound and light weight. This model also features a split single-coil Precision bass pickup that was redesigned especially for the Player series. It delivers an authentic bright, punchy and powerful P bass sound that can be heard on countless hits throughout popular music history right up to the present day.

Beautiful bass. Perfect tone. The PF neck sounds a little snappier than Rosewood but I prefer that. Great weight & balance. C neck is really comfy & the strings sound great!
