Fender's Player Jazz Bass MN offers great quality at an attractive price. This model has an alder body with a maple neck and fretboard. It's equipped with two Player series Alnico 5 single-coil pickups that deliver its powerful, rumbling, tight, punchy sound. You can tweak its tones to perfection using the volume and tone controls.

Player Jazz Bass MN: playing comfort

For optimal playing comfort, the neck has a modern C profile with a smooth satin-gloss finish and the fretboard has a 9.5-inch radius and 20 medium jumbo frets. The Player Jazz Bass MN excels in the studio or on the stage.

Bass guitar itself is lovely.

Packaging from Bax very good and postage fast.

However, neck pickup knob is wobbly,

and the bridge one is even worse.

Disappointing from a high quality instrument,

would expect all the controls to be tight out the box.

It's like you can feel the glue coming off, as they

are not properly secured.

ben een gitarist die ook bas wil leren spelen. Als Fender liefhebber eerst gekozen voor een Precision, maar hals beviel niet. Dan maar op zoek naar een Jazz bass. Eerst gekozen voor een G&L JB Tribute. prima Bass, maar toch maar ingeruild voor deze bas. Goede kwaliteit van de Player serie blijkt maar weer. Voelt solide aan en doet niet onder voor de American Standard P bass die ik eerder had.
Nadrukkelijk gekozen voor de Maple moest versie, ik vind de vervanger van Rosewood toetsen echt niet mooi.

Levering van Bax was snel en zorgvuldig.
Nu hard oefenen om het bas spelen onder de knie te krijgen.

Vandaag deze wondermooie bass ontvangen van Bax, via hun huur service (die heel adequaat en snel werkt).
De gitaar was goed verpakt en het eerste gevoel was wow. De mahonie hals is zeer mooi en voelt erg aangenaam aan. De snaren klinken niet top, maar in de toekomst komt er een Elixir setje op.
Maar kortom een uitstekend product voor deze prijs.

Al een aardige tijd heb ik staan te loeren naar deze en uiteindelijk natuurlijk aangeschaft.
Kortom, super vette Jazz Bass. De nek is een harstikke fijne satin-finish, de controls zijn super smooth, fantastisch gewicht en na enige moeite een prachtig geluid.

Mijn enige aanmerking is op de snaren. Het gaat hier gewoon om een setje roundwounds van Fender, maar na ongeveer 70 jaar gitaren bouwen zou je denken dat er wel een beter setje de fabriek uit komt rollen dan dit. Met name de lage E klonk gewoon heel dof, en het was niet die heldere klankkleur van Fender waar ik naar op zoek was.

Bij mijn aankoop heb ik er een set Elixir snaren bij gekocht, de volgende dag erop laten zetten en de bas af laten stellen door Bax. Deze service verdient echt een dikke duim omhoog. In het filiaal Rotterdam laten doen, erg vriendelijke jongen met verstand van zaken. Na de nieuwe snaren en afstelbeurt ben ik echt door het dolle heen. Het geluid en het speelcomfort is er zeker op vooruitgegaan en precies wat ik voor ogen had. Dit is niet een Jazz Bass maar dé Jazz Bass die men kent!
