General

If you play classic rock, blues or alternative music, then the Fender Mustang Bass PJ will definitely float your boat. It features a C-profile neck with a 30-inch scale length, a 9.5-inch fretboard radius and a satin-gloss finish. Because it has a slightly shorter neck, the notes are closer together and the string tension is lower making it a more pleasurable play for those without gigantic hands and an overall light-weight instrument which, if you're playing every day, will literally save your back.

Mustang Bass PJ MN: familiar and versatile

This Fender bass has a pau ferro fretboard, which is a little darker than rosewood and provides a sharper tone while the body and neck are made of ash and maple. The acoustic tone of this bass is full, powerful and versatile which is undeniably due to the PJ pickup configuration. The sound from the mid-position Precision pickup and bridge-position Jazz Bass pickup can be adjusted and combined as needed by using the 3-way pickup switch. There is one tone and one volume control for both pickups, which makes fine-tuning the Mustang Bass PJ PF a breeze.
