General

The Fender Japan Classic '60s Fretless Jazz Bass in 3-Tone Sunburst takes you straight back to the swinging sixties, a decade of great musical innovation. This Jazz Bass has a large headstock on a slim C maple neck that's equipped with a rosewood fretboard. The neck does not have actual frets, but shows markings instead, and also features position dots to make navigation easier, especially handy for bassists who've never played a fretless bass before.

Fender Japan Classic '60s Fretless Jazz Bass: a real head turner

This J Bass's single-coil pickups produce the warm, smooth tone that gave musicians like Jaco Pastorius and Tony Franklin their revered reputation. A combination of vintage-style pickups and an ash body provide this gorgeous Japanese instrument with virtually endless sustain. The absence of a pickguard, meanwhile, makes the Fender Japan Classic '60s Fretless Jazz Bass a real eye-catcher.

Fender Japan bass guitars

Japanese Fenders are high-end instruments that were originally manufactured for the Japanese market only. Thanks to their vintage design, modern innovations and high-quality finish, these hand-made bass guitars are highly coveted all over the world. They offer the same build quality as the professional Fender American Standard models at a very reasonable price.
