This Fender Deluxe Precision Bass Special in the colour Surf Pearl is an instrument designed for bassists who like to switch quickly and easily between sounds. It boasts an arsenal of usable sounds, ranging from the vintage split-coil's low, thick growl to the funky Ceramic Vintage Noiseless Jazz Bass pickup which is connected to a 3-band active equalizer. The Deluxe Precision is versatile enough to handle any style of music, and it's as pretty as a gem with its green Surf Pearl finish.

The string vibrations of this bass are passed on to the alder body by way of a Fender HiMass bridge, resulting in better resonance and sustain. Its comfortable C-profile maple neck boasts an ultra-fast 12-inch fretboard radius and 20 medium Jumbo frets on a rosewood fretboard. The string nut is made of synthetic bone, just like any Jazz bass, and measures 38 mm wide. When this bass is on stage in the spotlight, its Surf Green high-gloss finish makes it a real eye-catcher, while a layer of polyurethane lacquer ensures the neck remains smooth and fast.

3-band EQ preamp at your fingertips

The Deluxe is equipped with a 3-band equalizer that is easy to use. Its high-boost/cut is combined in a stacked pot with the bass-boost/cut, while the mid-boost/cut has its own control. That means you can change the sound in a fraction of a second! What's more, its volume control is extremely precise and a balance knob enables you to switch between the pickups. In short, the Fender Deluxe Precision Bass is a pure tone machine, developed for bassists who perform both live and in the studio, and who love that classic Fender tone and style.
