The Heavy Relic finished Fender 1960 Custom Shop Precision bass reissue has all the feel of a time-travelling instrument that just dropped out of the '60s and into your hands. The humble craftspeople of the Fender Custom Shop have really done everything they can to fool you: nothing but the same tools and techniques as those used back in the '60s have been used to shape this solidbody classic to result in an instrument that doesn't just look thoroughly played-in, but genuinely feels like it.

The 1960 Precision Bass Heavy Relic: Authentic Sixties Look, Feel, and Character

Since this is a high-grade Fender instrument, you're looking at a high-grade workhorse that can be taken to the stage or studio. Just as the body has an authentic '60s look, the neck has been treated to match. The hand effortlessly glides over the high-gloss lacquer coating without sticking, while a hand-wound split-coil Precision pickup carries all the sonic hallmarks of a '60s antique. As well as an ashtray bridge and pickup cover, this Fender Precision comes complete with its own deluxe case, certificate of authenticity and a strap.
