General

In 1962, Fender introduced the Jazz Bass as an alternative for the Precision Bass guitar. Its narrow neck, two pickups and asymmetrical body were originally meant for jazz bass guitarists but it soon gained popularity among bass players from other music genres. The J-Bass was loved for its all-round versatility. The American Standard Jazz Bass is still the same versatile workhorse but with some modern improvements, to meet the demands of the current-day bass player. This black guitar has a maple fretboard that provides the trebles with a bit more clarity and bite than the rosewood version.

American Standard Jazz Bass: modern player

An American Standard series Jazz Bass is defined by its classic looks and modern playing characteristics. Fender went all out to improve the bass guitar without losing its authentic 'vintage vibe'. The Hipshot tuners look traditional enough but are 30% lighter, giving the guitar a better balance. Fender's High Mass vintage bridge has been made more solid (for a fuller, neater tone with more sustain) while retaining its classic looks. Next to the truss rod, the American Standard J-Bass also has two graphite support rods in its neck, to keep it straight and stable at every temperature and humidity level.

Custom Shop pickups for that famous J-Bass sound

Fender fitted this edition American Standard Jazz Bass with Custom Shop '60s pickups. The two alnico 5 single-coils provide that classic Jazz Bass sound with an extra bit of output for enhanced punch in the mids and basses. Both pickups have their own volume control and there's a master tone knob to filter out the overall trebles. You can create a wide range of bass sounds from a clear, bright tone that cuts through the mix excellently to a warm and sultry jazz sound by blending the two volumes, All in all, this is a versatile bass suitable for virtually any genre, whether you like to slap, finger pick or go all out with a guitar pick.

Fender American Standard Jazz Bass Black MN
Wrote the following about Fender American Standard Jazz Bass Black MN

Bax, bedankt!!
