General

A Fender American Standard bass guitar is a desirable instrument as is, yet is extra interesting as a Jaguar Bass. This is a welcome addition to the high-quality, American-made line of electric bass guitars that previously only included the Jazz and Precision Bass. This Fender American Standard Jaguar Bass - black in this case - is notable for its distinctive body shape, the highly versatile P-Bass/J-Bass pickup configuration and the dual tone circuit. This bass comes with a luxury case.

The reliable American Standard Jaguar Bass Black

As we may expect from an American Standard instrument, it contains only the best components and wood types. A solid maple neck was bolted onto the durable alder body. Thanks to graphite support rods, the neck is very rigid and wont bend or warp easily. The 20-fret rosewood fretboard is home to luxury pearloid position markers and the headstock features HipShot machine heads. Thanks to the light weight of these tuners, your left arm won't need to support a lot of weight. Lastly, this bass is equipped with a robust High Mass bridge.

Dual tone circuit

The distinctive gnarl of the J-Bass pickup, the punch of the P-bass pickup or a combination of both are essentially enough to create a wide range of big bass guitar sounds. However, the Fender American Standard Jaguar Bass is equipped with a secret weapon: a slider switch on the top horn allows you to alternate between two different tone circuits. Set it to the lower position and the volume potentiometer becomes a passive tone control. In the top position, you can use the two horizontal disc knobs as active boost/cut for bass and treble.
