General

This solid-body electric bass guitar is a 5-string Jazz Bass with a classic Tobacco Sunburst finish. While it usually comes tuned in BEADG, you could also consider adding a high C instead of the low B string. You can adjust the balance between the two Noiseless single-coils using the pan knob. Furthermore, you can even toggle the American Jazz Bass V between active and passive modes. Active mode gives you access to the boost/cut controls for the low, mid and high frequencies. Finally, it also comes with a case, a guitar strap and a cable.

American Elite Jazz Bass V Ash Tobacco Sunburst MN: comfortable compound neck

On the comfortably lightweight and richly resonant ash J-style body, you'll find a solid Fender 5-saddle HiMass Vintage bridge, which allows for longer sustain and exquisite intonation. The same focus on quality is also evident in the American Elite's compound neck, with a profile that changes from a modern C to a D, and a fretboard with a 9.5 - 14" radius. Moreover, the maple neck features a satin finish, and combined with the maple fretboard, it adds some punch and comfort to the Jazz Bass's already excellent playing experience.

American Elite series guitars and bass guitars

The American Elite series features several different versions of the famous Telecaster, Stratocaster, Precision Bass, Jazz Bass and Dimension Bass models. Every single one of these carefully crafted guitars and bass guitars was made in the US, guaranteeing top Fender quality. For the Elite series, Fender combined their tried and true traditional designs with modern features such as a compound-radius fretboard and neck profile.

NAMM 2016: Big Fender Name Change: Deluxe Is Now Elite!

Thursday 21 January 2016

Fender knows like no other that you never change a winning team. Besides a few little adjustments here and there, they usually don't mess with their successful models too much. Until now. The famous manufacturer decided to get rid of the Deluxe name and re-brand it with the slightly classier Elite moniker. Of course, this also goes with a few adjustments for the various Teles and Strats, as well as the Jazz, Precision and Dimension bass guitars.
