General

In the '60s, the Jazz Bass was introduced at the same time as the Deluxe Jazzmaster model. The asymmetrical J-style alder body of this solid-body reissue has a Faded 3-Color Sunburst finish and the stable, narrow '60s bolt-on neck is made of quartersawn maple. Both layers of nitrocellulose lacquer have received the special Journeyman Relic treatment by Fender USA's Custom Shop master luthiers. Even the hardware has that true vintage look, like the covers of the bridge and mid pickups, the vintage-style bridge itself and the open gear machine heads.

Fender 1960 Journeyman Relic Jazz Bass F3CS RW

The 20 vintage-style frets and clay dot position markers certainly contribute to the overall vintage look of this top-notch Jazz bass guitar. The 7.25-inch fretboard radius and the '60s U profile of this legendary narrow neck guarantee optimal playing comfort, while the two '60s Jazz Bass single-coil pickups deliver the familiar Fender sound to your amp. The stacked concentric rotary buttons give you total control and flexibility to adjust the tone and volume of each pickup to perfection. No wonder that this Fender bass guitar is ideal for many different music styles, including funk, classic rock, and jazz.

Custom Shop Time Machine

With the Time Machine series, Fender's Custom Shop delivers top-quality reissued guitars and bass guitars with the vintage look and feel of classic Fenders. In addition to finishes like Relic, Closet Classic and New Old Stock, you can now also choose Heavy Relic and Journeyman Relic. Fender USA's master luthiers make sublime replicas of highly-acclaimed original string instruments right down to the smallest details. They succeed in capturing the essence of these legendary Fender basses and guitars perfectly.
