General

This Honey Natural 1005 is one of two solid-body bass guitars in ESP LTD's Stream series; the 5 in the name refers to the fact that it's a 5-string bass. Just like the Stream 1004, the 1005 can also be categorised under 'heavy bass guitars'. It features a mahogany body with a flamed maple top and a maple neck with ebony fretboard, a combination of materials that guarantees warmth and definition.

The Stream-1005 neck profile

An ultra-thin neck profile is characteristic of the ESP LTD Stream series and gives the instrument an almost vintage look. Contrary to its heavy body, this guitar flaunts a graceful neck adorned with block inlays. It goes without saying that the neck is comfortable to play and that the chances of aggravating your fingers or wrist while playing are minimal. What's more, 21 extra jumbo frets enhances your performance and enjoyability!

Pickups and electronics

ESP, the parent company of LTD, guarantees superior custom shop electric guitars and has developed two special active SB-5 humbuckers specifically for the Stream 1005. These pickups work together with a 2-band tone control and possess a high output that remains defined at all times. If you want to adjust your output, you can use the ESP-designed ABQ-2S preamp. In combination with two potentiometer for bass and treble, you'll have everything you need to create a broad tone palette.
