If you're looking for a specific or simply unique finish to the sound of your kit, the 20-inch Sabian HHX Medium ride might just do it for you. This ride has a much darker edge that anything comparable while its outspoken sound never gets too overbearing. This particular character has been shaped by a very special, Sabian-developed HHX hammer pattern where the cymbal is first lightly hammered into shape before being shaved down and treated to the deeper blows and larger hammerhead needed to complete the HHX technique. The resulting sound is dark and, since the cymbal has been made relatively thin by the process, the response is vastly quickened while the larger bell maintains power. This versatile cymbal will comfortably find a place in pretty much any kit.
