Product no: 9000-0053-0806 Bax Music Warranty: This product comes with a 3-year warranty.

General

The Royer Labs R-122 mkII active ribbon microphone is fitted with a pad switch and low-off filter and, thanks to the active circuit, the R-122 mkII has a much higher output and lower impedance than the passive R-121. As such, the R-122 mkII can be used with almost any preamplifier and when recording extreme, loud sound sources, you can use the switchable attenuator and avoid overloading. At close range, you can compensate for any possible excess layers created by the proximity effect with the low-off filter. Whether your sound source is incredibly quiet or extremely loud, close or distant, the R-121 mkII will deliver the full, silky sound you would expect from a high-grade ribbon microphone.

Marantz Launches Ribbon Microphones and Boom Poles

For some time now, Marantz has been focusing its attention on the pro audio segment, which has led to the development of a few very interesting products like the MPM-500R ribbon microphone. They've also come up with four boom pole stands in their Audio Scope series, the B9, B9C, B11 and the B11C. Some of these boom poles have an integrated XLR cable, which is what the 'C' in their name stands for.
