The Robin ribbon microphone by Mode Machines in a welcome addition to any microphone collection. It's a classic-looking recording device with a wide frequency range and a natural, warm sound that makes it suitable for vocals, electric guitar and drums. The Robin has a bi-directional pickup pattern like all ribbon mics, which means audio is captured from the front and back, not the sides, bottom or top. The Robin comes complete with a shock mount and storage pouch and the whole set comes in a durable case.
