General
The Ibanez ES2 Echo Shifter is an analogue delay pedal with a plethora of easy-to-use functions. Although the ES2 is an analogue pedal, it almost feels like a digital pedal because its functions are so incredibly easy to operate. The delay has three different settings. In oscillation mode, for instance, the delay will make vibrations, providing a psychedelic effect. With the modulation, you can create chorus-like delays and of course, you can also switch off both effects to get a natural-sounding delay.
Digital control over an analogue pedal
What makes the ES2 so exceptional is that you can adjust the delay rate without having to use all kinds of knobs. This means you can alter the speed of the delay in the middle of your gig, adding great dynamics to the delay.
Also works on 9V batteries
Thanks to extra space on this pedal, it's possible to let the ES2 run on 9V batteries as well. Many analogue pedals don't offer you this luxury - when your adapter doesn't have enough power outputs, this can really save your show. The ES2 is an ultra-reliable, innovative little gadget.
- Please note: this pedal can only be powered by a 9V battery or an adapter of the same voltage. Do not use a battery or adapter of a higher voltage, as it may cause the pedal to short-circuit.
