General

A clean, tight and light pedalboard is a must for gigging guitarists and bassists. But so is an extensive board that doesn't compromise on creativity and quality. The Hotone Binary Eko is a pedal that takes every one of these demands into account. One stompbox gives you access to 17 different delay effect variations, all driven by XTOMP processing tech, CDCM modelling, 24-bit A/D/A conversion and Dual DSP. This is a tight, clean, light and incredibly extensive delay pedal.

Binary Eko: Mono / Stereo, Built in Tap-Tempo and Even More Control

This mini-Eko-pedal comes with 10 user-preset banks so you can dial in and save your bespoke delays. Choose a mono or stereo send and a maximum delay time of 1000 to 4000 milliseconds. The built-in tap-tempo can be expanded by the addition of an external expression pedal (not included) and if you want a little more control over the potent Binary Eko delay effect, hook it up to your PC or Mac and download the free software and latest firmware upgrades from the Hotone site.

NAMM 2016: Maintenance-Free Tape-Echo by Dunlop

Wednesday 20 January 2016 By Lizanne

Lots of guitarists out there would love to experiment with an old-school tape echo. You know, those warm, analogue 60s-70s delays, brought about by a tape recorder with all sorts of fascinating controls. Unfortunately, there are no free rides in this world. The price of a (secondhand) tape recorder, if you can find one, is often astronomical, not to mention the costs of the cartridges and maintenance. So, Dunlop launched the EP103 Echoplex.
