General

Most reverb pedals only offer a few types of reverb, but the Digitech Supernatural Ambient Reverb spoils guitarists with no fewer than 7. This stomp box is part of the innovative Hardwire series. Products from this series are specially designed for touring and studio guitarists who have high demands for reliability, durability and tone. You can trust that the Supernatural does nothing to detract from the original sound of your pickups while adding studio-grade reverb effects.

The Supernatural's reverbs

The top-right knob lets you set the type of reverb. The Supernatural starts off with a truly marvellous Plate reverb that's modelled after the classic studio reverb found on many hit songs. You can use the Plate Mod to add a bit of chorus. Additionally, there's the mysterious Shimmer (which combines reverb with intriguing octave jumps), Shine (with chorus sounds and pitch switches), and sparkling Supernova. The Pherb is the Lexicon Hall reverb with a dash of phasing, while the Spring is a proper '60s classic.

Settings

Inside the Supernatural is a Trails switch that you can use to select whether you want the effect sound to fade out or stop suddenly when pressing the foot switch. Additionally, you can set the balance between the effect and the dry signal with the Mix, and the length of the reverb tones with the Decay control. The Liveliness knob lets you adjust the effect's clarity. Clever extras come in the form of stereo inputs and outputs and included stomp lock to fix your settings. You get a plethora of studio-grade reverb sounds in a reliable pedal.

Super reverb.
