General

Resonator guitars have become virtually indispensable from traditional blues and bluegrass music. Once a means to give these guitars more volume, their distinctive sound quickly won the hearts of many. Even after the introduction of the electric guitar (effectively solving the volume problem) the resonator guitar remained popular. This Fender Brown Derby Resonator gives you that characteristically loud sound, the lengthy sustain and sparkling trebles that make this the beloved guitar that it is, at a very attractive price.

Eastern European cone, Telecaster neck

The sound of a resonator guitar greatly depends on the quality of its cone. This Brown Derby Resonator has a hand-made cone from Eastern Europe that is by far the best cone in its price range. The guitar has a punchy, rich sound and an excellent tonal transference. Both the sides and back and the top are made of laminated maple. The Derby Brown Resonator can quickly be identified as a genuine Fender thanks to its Telecaster-style headstock and C-profile mahogany neck for comfortable playing.

Brown Derby

In addition to the resonator cone and Telecaster headstock, this resonator is characterised by its two covered sound holes and the Brown Derby logo on its headstock. The guitar features a Brown Stain satin-gloss polyurethane lacquer finish that was specially developed to retain the instrument's natural tone. This Fender Brown Derby Resonator guitar gives you genuine blues sounds in a beautiful housing.
