Every lighting technician has used floor lighting at one time or another. Setting them up was often a hassle, especially with older floor stands that were poor quality and not able to withstand a lot of weight. Well, Admiral has done something about that! Their version of the floor stand is constructed with sturdy steel and finished with a black coating. Its size can accommodate any square 30-truss, and can be used as either a pillar or a suspension.

Admiral floor stand: the benefits of the tube

This particular model of the Admiral floor stand is equipped with a 16" x 7.8" tube. The tube also consist of two pre-drilled holes, which make it easy to attach light armatures with a nut and bolt. Admiral made these holes with their patented Slide fixing system in mind, which makes it easy to quickly mount or dismount parts. The Slide is made up of two parts: one part is attached to the armature, the other to the floor stand. This helps you to set up and alter your lighting fixtures without having to dismount everything and start over!

Two versions

Admiral's floor stand is available in two versions: the model described above, and a version with a 2" pipe instead of a tube base. You can easily mount armatures on the latter using half couplers or hooks. Other benefits, as opposed to the version with the tube, is that some armatures already have a built-in hook or attachment. As you can see, Admiral has the lighting market covered with this sturdy and adaptable floor stand!
