In the last 30 years, Prolyte has become one of the biggest manufacturers of truss constructions. This triangular Prolyte X30D is a dreaded competitor of Eurotruss and Duratruss. Because this truss has tubes with a diameter of 51 millimetres, the system does not fit those of its rivals. The hooks and safeties for lighting and decoration, however, do fit. The construction is 29 mm wide and the tubes have a secure wall thickness of 2 mm. This type of triangular truss is often used for the suspension of lighting like LED-par, scanners and Moving heads.
