General

Take a giant leap into the world of the Clavinova that began back in the '80s, with the Yamaha CLP-440R digital piano. Back then, they were still using FM synthesizers, until Yamaha added their AWM system to the mix. Decades later this series is still one of the biggest players on the digital piano market. The reason? The sound! And this model only proves that once again, with the RGE technology that offers you a concert grand sound to fall in love with. The expansive 256-voice polyphony lets you do whatever you want with the keys without ever having to worry about losing notes. Finally, the adjustable reverb gives you that beautiful concert hall feel no matter what kind of room you're actually playing in.

Possibilities

Operating the CLP-440R is a piece of cake. With a total of 28 sounds including pianos, strings, choir, organs, vibraphone and harpsichord, it's safe to say that you get a lot more than just ease of use and good piano sound out of this experience. Moreover, you also have the option of layering or splitting sounds (e.g. left hand bass, right hand vibraphone). Keep a record of your musical journey to share with your family, friends and fans with the recording function, so you can send your audio to your PC via USB - also handy for emailing or sharing online.

A digital piano with future

Even though acoustic pianos will always have their charm, the Clavinova is an outstanding alternative. The advantages of digital are many though - you'll never have to get it tuned, you can control the volume and you even have two headphone outputs. Add to that transposition, fine-tune, tuning/temperament, a metronome and the adjustable touch-sensitivity, not to mention a light weight and an attractive price tag, and you might start wondering why anyone would buy anything other than a digital piano. All in all, this truly is a worthy instrument that you can enjoy for the years to come.
