General

Since the 1980s Yamaha has been building up the sparkling reputation of their well-known Clavinovas. The current generation of Clavinovas thus rests soundly upon three generations of successful predecessors. The Yamaha CLP-440M digital piano mahogany is a prime example of what Yamaha has been able to do with modern technology. As a player you don't have to worry about complicated technology though, because operation has been kept simple and streamlined. Thanks to the RGE engine you'll get to experience an incredibly rich piano sound that's full of life with great depth and sparkling highs. Add a good dose of reverb (adjustable) and you'll feel like you're performing in the grandest of concert halls. Play the most extreme pieces of music without worrying about polyphony, because with 256 voices you're never going to have a problem.

Functions

This piano is more than worth your investment, but in case you haven't been convinced yet, there's much more! Along with a diverse selection of pianos there are 28 other sounds offered, including but not limited to e-pianos, vibraphone, choir, strings, organs, bass and harpsichord. If you so wish, you can layer voices (such as the well-known piano/strings combo) or split them the split configuration mode (to play one voice with your left hand and a different with your right). Of course playability is key, and you can be sure of having a realistic experience with the weighted keys with synthetic ivory tops. You can even record as you play and send the audio to your PC in WAV format, which is especially great for making CDs for friends and family!

Advantages of a digital piano

Digital pianos are ideal for many people—just try lugging a regular piano up the stairs (if you can get it through your front door in the first place) and we're pretty sure you'll realize it's ideal for you too. Aside from being smaller, a digital piano is also more practical and affordable, and nowadays the sound (emulated from an expensive grand piano) is so great that you can use them for piano lessons with confidence that you'll get excellent results. You don't have to worry about tuning and you can adjust the volume or even use one of the two headphone connections! Functions such as transpose, fine tune, tuning/temperament and a metronome are of course included essentials in this beautiful mahogany package. When you choose the CLP-440M you're choosing years of playing pleasure!
