The Yamaha APX500II Oriental Blue Burst is part of the Yamaha 500 series, which contains some of the best-selling acoustic guitars. The 500II models are equipped with improved preamplifiers and look better than ever, making this an attractive western guitar for at home or on-stage.
The acoustic sound of the APX500II
When you use the APX500II un-amplified, you'll notice that it has an excellent acoustic sound. The remarkably handsome APX body with its slightly more compact size is the perfect touch to the clear, balanced resonation from the spruce top. The top has a stunning sunburst blue finish, elegant bindings and a special sound hole rosette.
The preamplifier
Thanks to the built-in piëzo pickup and System65 preamp, the APX500II is a reliable stage companion. The improved pickup gives an extra-strong and dynamic output, and with diverse tone controls on the preamp you can always find just the right sound. The special AMF mid-tone equalizer is excellent for reducing acoustic feedback, and the built-in tuner lets you tune quickly and quietly anytime, anywhere.
