General

Yamaha's A-series guitars were made to perform. Whether you're live or in the studio, amplified or unplugged, these high-quality Japanese guitars always deliver a professional sound and comfortable playability. The Yamaha AC6R is a limited edition model, and at Bax-shop we managed to get our hands on two of the eighty models available in Europe. This guitar comes with a luxury case to match its luxury status. Don't wait too long to make up your mind about this beauty though, because once it's gone it's gone for good!

Yamaha AC6R: all-solid western guitar

The AC6R is an all-solid western guitar, which means that the entire body is made of solid wood. Sitka spruce was used for the top and rosewood was chosen for the sides and back. Furthermore, the neck is made of mahogany and features a 20-fret ebony finger board. This particular combination of wood types coupled with the high-quality construction of the guitar delivers a wonderfully full, rich sound with plenty of projection. A few of the features that set this limited-edition guitar apart from the rest include the logo on the headstock, the diamond shaped fretboard inlays and the lovely abalone rosette. Both the body and the neck have been finished with a thin layer of nitrocellulose lacquer.

SRT System 63 pickup system

The Yamaha AC6R is equipped with SRT (Studio Response Technology) electronics, which consists of an SRT piezo pickup and a System 63 preamplifier. The preamp gives you the option of choosing from three microphone simulations, and you can choose the ‘position’ of the microphone with the Focus/Wide button (whether you want it to sound like you're close to or far from the mic). It's just like you're playing with a microphone in front of your guitar, without the hassle of actually having a microphone in front of your guitar. You can also choose to mix the microphone simulation with the built-in piezo pickup. Furthermore, there's a 3-band EQ, a resonance function for emphasising that natural acoustic sound, an Auto Feedback Reduction option and a built-in digital tuner. One thing’s for sure: you don't have to worry about whether this instrument is complete!
