General

De Vox SDC-55 Semi-Solid Trans Black is een zeer veelzijdige gitaar voor de serieuze gitarist. Waar de meeste andere gitaren uit de uitstekende 55 Series een normale 'solid body' hebben, beschikt dit doorschijnend zwarte exemplaar over interne klankholtes. Die verbeteren de toon en maken de gitaar ook nog eens lichter. Daarnaast is de palissander toets vervangen door een toets van ebbenhout, wat de klank hoorbaar strakker en directer maakt. Het mahoniehout van de body, tenslotte, zorgt voor een diep geluid, voorzien van een stukje sprankeling door de esdoorn top.

De Vox SDC55 SS Trans Black, inclusief Vox Deluxe Gig Bag, bezit dus een uitstekende basisklank, maar hoe staat het met de elementen? Voor elk van de twee stille en dynamische CoAxe-humbuckers geldt dat ze razendsnel ingesteld kunnen worden op één van drie element-types: een cleane klanken producerende single coil, de crunchy tonen van een P90 of het geweld van een volle humbucker. De SDC55 SS is daarmee zeldzaam allround! De rijk en dik resonerende MaxConnect brug garandeert bovendien een stemvast en nauwkeurig geïntoneerd instrument.
