General

De serieuze amateur-gitarist maakt een goede keus met een elektrische gitaar uit de 33 Series van Vox. Deze aantrekkelijk geprijsde instrumenten zijn namelijk voor een groot deel gebaseerd op de dure 77 en Virage-reeksen. Denk aan CoAxe humbuckers, een gewelfde top en MaxConnect brug. De Vox SDC-33 Blackburst is een variant met dubbele cutaway en een zwarte sunburst-lak, die de nerf van de massieve essenhouten body prachtig naar voren laat komen. De Vox SDC33 Blackburst wordt geleverd inclusief gitaartas (de Vox Deluxe Gig Bag).

SDC-33: klank en comfort

Vox CoAxe-elementen staan bekend om hun opvallend stille, maar toch heel dynamische sound. Bovendien zijn ze in staat om gezamenlijk te wisselen tussen transparante enkelspoels klanken - voor bijvoorbeeld country, blues of punk - en het volle, warme rock-karakter van humbucker pickups. Het essenhout geeft de gitaar een goede dosis kracht in zowel de hoge als lage frequenties, bijgestaan door de uitstekende klank-overdracht van de aluminium brug. Verder zijn de hoogste frets zeer goed te bereiken dankzij de dubbele uitsparing en verlaagde hiel.
