De serieuze gitarist die zijn keuze heeft laten vallen op de Vox HDC-77 Trans Amber, mag zich verheugen in een uitstekend klinkend en uiterst comfortabel instrument. Deze semi-akoestische gitaar biedt allereerst de bekende warme -klank van een semi-hollow body. Voor de opvallend rijke en veelzijdige sound van de HDC-77 is echter ook de hoge kwaliteit brug verantwoordelijk, samen met de fantastische CoAxe-elementen: een set pickups met individuele schakelaars, om per pickup te wisselen tussen felle enkelspoels-geluiden, vette P90-sounds en het ruige humbucker-karakter.

De goed doordachte bouw van de Vox HDC77

Vox heeft de nodige aandacht besteed aan de constructie en het uiterlijk van de Vox HDC77 Trans Amber. Zo beschikt hij over een uitgeholde kern van mahoniehout waarop een top en achterzijde zijn bevestigd van prachtig generfd esdoornhout met een fraaie oranje-gele afwerking. De body - die overigens opvallend weinig last heeft van feedback - bezit bovendien fraaie en vooral zeer comfortabel aanvoelende welvingen. Tot slot springen de dubbele uitsparing en de verlaagde hiel in het oog, die u verzekeren van ultieme bewegingsvrijheid rond de hoogste frets.
