De Universal Audio 1176AE is de anniversary edition van de 1176AE mono compressor, één van de beste in zijn klasse. Van de 1176AE worden er maar 500 gemaakt, dus wees er snel bij. Door zijn ultra snelle attack en release is de 1176LN zeer geschikt voor producten en eindmixen met veel laag.

De reputatie van deze analoge klassieker is goed bekend in de audio industrie. Het originele ontwerp komt uit de jaren '60. De 1176LNT was de eerste die gebruikt maakte van de Field Effect Transistor (FET) als een voltage gecontroleerde variabele transistor.

De Universal Audio 1176LN is een remake van de jaren '60 versie.
