De Tascam DR-07 MKII digital audio recorder is all ears with its adjustable condensor microphones. You’ll make flawless recordings in PCM- and MP3-format. The Tascam DR-07 MKII is easy to use. You can easily navigate through the menu thanks to its intuitive navigation wheel and its bright LCD screen. The recorder is also easy to carry: the Tascam DR-07 MK II is a true lightweight at 127 grams.
Tascam: recording what you want
The Tascam DR-07 MKII gives you the opportunity to add your own input during the recording and playing of your audio recordings. The gain level can be adjusted automatically or manually. When playing the recordings you can determine its playing speed yourself. You can mark certain parts of your recording in order to make loops. With the split function you can remove redundant and unwanted parts from your audio file.
Digital recorder with functional settings
You can make clear recordings due to its built-in low cut filter. With its overdub function you can later add vocal parts, speech or music to your already existing audio files. You can start at once thanks to the extra microSD-card of 2 GB. The compact and user-friendly Tascam DR-07 MKII digital audio recorder is a cleverly-designed device.
- Please note that the DR-07 MKII requires the PS-P515U adapter. The PS-P520 is only suitable for the older DR-07.

Wat direct opviel aan de Tascam DR-07 MKII is het lage gewicht. De recorder ligt lekker in de hand en is hierdoor makkelijk overal naartoe te nemen en te bedienen. Ook de knoppen en de menu's zijn gebruiksvriendelijk. De vele mogelijkheden zijn binnen 3 clicks te benaderen.
Voor het opnemen van DJ-sets plug je gemakkelijk een jackkabel in de line-ingang. Een groot voordeel van de Tascam DR-07 MKII is dat de remaining recorder tijd is weergegeven. Voor het opnemen van een DJ-set is het natuurlijk wenselijk dat er genoeg ruimte beschikbaar is. Ook is het mogelijk de opnamekwaliteit te selecteren: WAV, 320kbps,192kbps, ect. De resterende opnametijd zie je direct wijzigen wanneer je voor een andere opnamekwaliteit kiest. (bij een 2GB SD-kaart 18 uur in 320kbps).
Een minpunt van de Tascam DR-07 MKII is de build-in speaker. Als je deze tegen je oor houd is het te doen. Maar even snel terugluisteren (hands free) zit er niet in. Hiervoor is een export naar je computer of een hoofdtelefoon nodig.
Al met al een zeer prettige recorder die ik vaak zal gaan gebruiken. Het is jammer dat er geen etui of case bij geleverd wordt. Dit is wel wenselijk wanneer je on the road bent en de Tascam DR-07 KMII in je DJ tas vervoerd.
Nu 4 sterren, bij een volwaardige ingebouwde speaker hadden dit er 5 geweest.
Er zijn echter een paar dingen die, als het voor je van toepassing is, de keuze misschien op een ander apparaat zouden doen vallen.
1) de extra ingang voor externe microfoons ruist teveel als wat meer gain wordt ingesteld.. Bij natuuropnames is die volstrekt niet bruikbaar. Voor dit doel heb ik een externe pre-amp met phantom aangeschaft en die op de ingang aangesloten. Nu werkt alles uitstekend.
2) de ingebouwde luidspreker is een gimmick. De hoofdtelefoonuitgang is echter prima.
3) de ingebouwde toonregeling heeft slechts drie onbruikbare standen.
Als door mij genoemde punten voor jou niet van belang zijn, is dit voor deze prijs een uitstekend apparaat. Snel, trefzeker, goede auto-gain mogelijkheden alsmede handmatige instelling.
