De VPL-VW90ES is een Full HD 3D projector, ontworpen om aan al uw wensen te voldoen, met een uitstekend 3D beeld en een wijde reeks aan innovatieve Sony technologieën. De beamer is ontworpen rond Sony's bioscoopkwaliteit SXRD paneeltechnologie, en de VPL-VW90ES levert precies wat de 3D kenner vereist: een dynamisch, helder 3D beeld op schermen zo groot als 150 inch.

Het systeem maakt gebruik van frame-sequentiële projectie door middel van IR LED-schakelende glazen, en met een 240 Hz refresh rate, aanpasbare 3D instellingen en een waar 80.000:1 dynamische contrastverhouding, levert de VPL-VW90ES een indringende, natuurlijke home 3D ervaring.

De 2D prestaties zijn ook niet verminderd in deze beamer, en 2D bronnen kunnen omgevormd worden naar 3D; dus met een groeiend aantal Blu-Ray 3D filmtitels en 3D games voor bijvoorbeeld de Playstation 3, is er ook geen gebrek aan 3D content.
